Important Topics Requiring Your Attention
Posted By flintfaulkner on July 26, 2024
Dear Amerige Heights Community Members,
I hope this message finds you well. As part of our ongoing efforts to ensure a pleasant, and well-maintained living environment, we would like to address several important topics that require your attention and cooperation. Your participation is crucial in maintaining the high standards of our community and ensuring a harmonious living experience for everyone.
Bicyclists:
Recently, we’ve observed several incidents involving bicycles in our community where riders have not been adhering to traffic laws. For the safety of all residents, we ask that you:
- Be Mindful of Bicyclists: Always be cautious when driving or walking in areas frequented by cyclists. Bicyclists should use bike lanes where available and follow all traffic signals and signs.
- Educate Your Family Members: Ensure that all family members understand and follow traffic rules while riding bikes. This includes stopping at stop signs, using hand signals for turns, and wearing helmets. We urge families to be extra vigilant, as we live in close proximity to schools, and there may be students who are riding around the community unattended. Unsupervised riding can lead to accidents or encounters with vehicles and pedestrians. Please ensure that any residents of your home, family members, and guests are properly supervised to avoid accidents.
Lawn Maintenance:
Maintaining the aesthetic appeal of our community is a shared responsibility. We ask all homeowners to:
- Attend to Your Lawns: Regularly manicure and maintain your lawns. Overgrown grass and unkept gardens detract from the community’s appearance and adversely impact property values. Keeping your property well-maintained helps preserve the value and beauty of our neighborhood.
Leash Law for Dogs:
As a reminder, according to both the City of Fullerton regulations and Amerige Heights governing documents:
- Dogs Must Be on a Leash: All dogs must be leashed at all times. This rule is in place to ensure the safety of your pets, other residents, and their pets. Failure to adhere to this requirement can result in fines and create unnecessary risks.
- Reporting: Please contact Animal Control if you see pets off-leash in violation of city code.
Neighbor-to-Neighbor Fences:
Many of our homes have fences that connect to neighboring properties. These shared fences require mutual cooperation and understanding:
- Survey and Discuss Fence Repairs: We encourage homeowners to survey their neighboring fences and engage in discussions with their neighbors about necessary repairs or maintenance. Open communication can help prevent misunderstandings and ensure that shared fences are kept in good condition.
- Design Review Application: If you are considering making changes to a shared fence (beyond a like-for-like replacement), please be aware that a Design Review Application is required. This application can be obtained through resident.actionlife.com. Submitting this application ensures that any modifications are reviewed for compliance with community standards.
We appreciate your attention to these matters and your continued efforts to maintain the quality and safety of our community. By working together, we can ensure that Amerige Heights remains a wonderful place to live for everyone.
Thank you for your cooperation and support.
