Important Safety Reminders
Posted By nzemariam on January 31, 2025

Dear Amerige Heights Residents,
We hope this message finds you well. As part of our ongoing efforts to keep our community safe, we would like to remind everyone of a few important safety tips as we approach a busy upcoming season.
Mail Safety:
With recent mail thefts in the area, we encourage all residents to check their mail as often as possible. Be mindful of incoming packages or important letters; promptly retrieve them from your mailbox or porch to minimize the risk of theft.
Porch Light Safety:
A well-lit home is a deterrent to criminal activity. We recommend ensuring that your porch lights are on during the evening hours, as it helps to enhance visibility around your home and can discourage unwanted visitors.
Car Safety:
Please remember to remove all valuables from your car every day. Car break-ins have become a concern in the area, and leaving personal items visible in your vehicle increases the likelihood of theft. Please remember that thieves are often indiscriminate and may target items we might not think are valuable. A shopping bag that seems insignificant to us could be seen as a valuable item, such as a purse. Please avoid leaving any items in plain sight, taking a few extra moments to clear your car of belongings can help prevent a crime of opportunity.
Thank you for your attention to these important safety tips. Together, we can be proactive in helping to keep our community safe and secure.
Best regards,
Amerige Heights Community Association
