Dear Homeowners,
We hope this message finds you well. As part of our ongoing effort to maintain a clean and enjoyable environment for all residents, we would like to remind everyone of a few important guidelines regarding pets in our community.
– Dogs Must Be Leashed:
For the safety of both pets and neighbors, all dogs must be kept on a leash when outside your property. This includes while walking through neighborhood streets, sidewalks, and common areas. This rule is in place not only for safety but also to comply with local ordinances. Orange County Animal Control (according to Sec. 4-1-45. – Restraint of dogs) can be called to enforce this.
– For Pet Relief Areas – Please Avoid Bollards:
We kindly ask that you direct your dogs not to use bollards for pet relief purposes. As shown in the image, a bollard is a black pole that emits light in specific areas in the community. These bollards cost up to $1,000.00 each for the association to repaint or repair due to damage. These posts are frequently used by pedestrians and children and are not intended to serve as pet relief spots. Repairing these bollards are unfortunately very costly, and we would like to try to preserve them by keeping these areas clean.
The cost to repair the bollards is paid for by residents from their HOA dues. Every bollard in the community has been repaired as of this month.
Your cooperation helps keep our neighborhood beautiful and enjoyable for all. Thank you for being a responsible and considerate member of our community.
