Dear Amerige Heights Residents,

 

We would like to inform you of an upcoming street construction project scheduled to take place throughout the community in phases between July 21 and August 11. This work is essential to maintain and improve the quality of our neighborhood infrastructure as Amerige Heights marks its 22nd year since its establishment in 2003. Your cooperation and attention to the following guidelines are essential to ensure a safe and efficient process. Please see the attached map to show the affected areas of the community and when it will be affected. Only a portion of the community will be addressed during this year’s construction.

Traffic and Parking Restrictions

During each scheduled construction phase, vehicular access and parking within the designated work zones will be strictly prohibited. All residents are required to relocate their vehicles outside of the construction zone prior to the start date for their area. There will be no access to the construction area until the work is finished. “No Parking” signs and cones will be placed in the affected areas 72 hours in advance of any work taking place. Any damage to the road surface from your vehicle will incur full charges for repairs.

Temporary Suspension of Waste Collection

Please be advised that trash pickup services will be temporarily suspended during construction in each respective phase. We kindly ask residents to make alternative arrangements and to keep bins away from the roadway during this time to avoid interference with the project. We will communicate this to the trash company ahead of time to avoid any issues.

Further Requests Regarding Conflicts

For any specified resident conflicts, please contact Management so that accommodations can be made. These conflicts would have to be emergency or medical related to receive proper accommodation.

This will be the first street construction project of five that will be completed over the next few years. Please be aware that your section will be addressed if it is not included in the current project. Five inches of the road surface will be removed and replaced as part of this project. Most communities undertake similar street reconstruction every 20 to 25 years. Based on core samples taken throughout the neighborhood, it was determined that beginning the project this year is the most fiscally responsible decision. Funding has already been allocated through the HOA’s annual reserve budget.
